Spring Has Sprung
I’ve had my eye on this tree as I start out each morning. During this interminable winter it seemed stuck in deep hibernation, occasionally festooned with a lacey snowy coat. Eventually I was so tired of waiting for my tree to tell me that spring had come that I started taking pictures of its “moods”: its branches coyly peeping into the first sun to hit the street, or showing off a “look at me” dramatic backlit silhouette. Then suddenly this past week it happened. Spring arrived—and quickly—the last three shots are only a day apart. My tree friend just couldn’t help bustin’ out all over. Spring is here!
Then this morning we woke up to snow.
